Tropical Island Resort Getaway Outfits

This is an exciting time of year for those of us who love to shop. With the Spring / Summer collections coming out in all stores, it’s a nice little reminder that summer is just around the corner and get us excited for all the beautiful places where we can wear them.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel to two private island resorts this past month, Bawah Island and Pangkor Laut Resort, and with that lush green jungle, and white sand beach, I really needed a few key pieces to really make my Instagram photos pop.

Given these resorts were so beautiful, I really wanted to not only compliment these places with what I wore, but also not take away from the beauty of my surroundings.

Forever 21

Bawah Island particularly has such beautiful beaches, I knew I’d be spending most of my time in swimwear, so I dashed into Forever 21 in Singapore a couple of days before my visit and rummaged through their Spring/ Summer collection.

Two pieces came to my eye, a flattering and flowy red maxi dress (an Instagrammer’s dream), and a beautiful long white cover up with delicate straps and a long scoop back.

Both pieces I wore religiously on the island, and they really amped up my shots. The red dress in particular helped me stand out against the rich jungle green of the island

Miss June

For my trip to Pangkor Laut Resort in Malaysia, I felt an impulse and a need to add a few more Instagrammable pieces to my wardrobe to give a different look to my feed.

Miss June Paris kindly sent me a gorgeous dress and skirt from their Spring / Summer collection. They sent me an elegant and feminine off-the-shoulder white dress, and a very Instagrammable flowy skirt with beautiful patterns and colours.
