Chiang Mai was the perfect place for our nomadic lifestyle. We got so much done in our two months living there and that’s because we had great coffee to keep us fuelled, fast WiFi, and most were where we lived around Nimman Road in Chiang Mai. Here’s a list of the best cafes in Chiang Mai.
Barisotel
Clean and crisp in design, wherever you look in the Barisotel Café is white and aesthetically pleasing on the eye. You can really settle here for several hours as there are plugs a plenty and the coffee is always excellent. They also serve your coffee with cinnamon sticks, if you’re a fan and if not, it’s a great prop for that overhead shot.
Notable Menu Mentions: The Bacon Toast Cup (119 Baht), Ham Cheese Croissant (89 Baht), B-Coconut Ice Cream (129 Baht), Raisin Cranberry Scone (65 Baht), Coconut Juice (65 Baht), Spinach Ham Quiche (79 Baht), and a hot latte and cappuccino (75 Baht). We admittedly went overboard, but it was a lot of fun.
Ristr8to
When ‘Brewing Hour’ is upon us, then the sorcerers and witches come out and start concocting magic in the caffeine lab that is Ristr8to. Ristr8to is the Best Coffee Experience in Chiang Mai. Their baristas have become consistent winners at World Latte Art Championships, and they’re not shy of showcasing their talents.
For your basic coffees, such as lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, it’s 88 Baht. If you want one of their specific Latte Art Championship designs in a 9oz cup, you can go really extra and get the Satan Latte for 180 Baht. I say pay that extra 10 Baht.
Rustic & Blue Farm House
Rustic & Blue Farm Shop occupies such a huge space that it’s divided into several sections, suitable for whatever your personality prefers. You can sit in a brightly lit air-conditioned glass room or you can sit outside in the warmth of their garden relaxing in a hammock, which is just the perfect place to be when it’s not too hot.
For a regular sized hot latte / cappuccino, it costs 75 Baht. If you want to upgrade that to a larger version, the cost is 90 Baht. We tend to always go large because when we go to Rustic & Blue Farm House, we don’t tend to leave any time soon. This is one of the best cafes in Chiang Mai and we just love the relaxing and productive vibe here.
