Hotel Villa Franca Review

Perched atop of charming Positano is the stylish Hotel Villa Franca with stunning views of the Italian coastal line as far as the eye can see.

This modern boutique hotel has a chic vibe that blends in with the rustic Italian style you would typically associate with the ever-enchanting Amalfi Coast. Contemporary art and sleek interior designs mixed with open views of Positano. The rooms boast views in all different directions with ours overlooking Fornillo Beach.

Given Hotel Villa Franca’s location at the top of Positano, to get to the main beach, Positano Spiaggia, you have to walk down a series of narrow staircases through quaint cobbled piazzas. It’s a bit of a walk down to the beach and restaurants, which you will certainly feel on the way up. However, for those who find the walk a little too strenuous, the Positano hotel provide a shuttle service down to the beach area at scheduled times.

You will not go hungry while staying at this hilltop retreat and eating at Hotel Villa Franca is highly recommended. Breakfast is included in your stay and there’s an impressive array of freshly baked pastries and breads, fresh fruit, meat and cheese slices. However, it is dinner where Hotel Villa Franca really shined.

Dining at their restaurant was an experience that will stay with us for a very long time. The whole meal was an evening event that was divine and memorable with each course served with a touch of elegance befitting of the glamour of the Amalfi Coast. This romantic dinner at Hotel Villa Franca was exquisite and befitting of a place in our best ever dining experiences.

Sitting down to an evening meal with a coastal view as the sun started to set, everything done for dinner at Hotel Villa Franca was done so with such care and precision as the staff put on a masterclass in the art of fine dining.

A choice of olive oil brands of various flavours and spices were wheeled out at the start. Each dish was succulent and presented to look like works of art.  And after we had a delicious helping of dessert, the treats still didn’t end as our meal was rounded off with a choice of divine chocolates and sweets from the dessert cart.

Hotel Villa Franca provide a gorgeous rooftop pool with an uninterrupted eagle eye view of all of Positano from its lofty position atop of the Italian coastal town.

Here you can soak in the sun as well as the stunning coastal views of the Mediterranean Sea while embracing the magic of staying along the Amalfi Coast.
