It’s a dream for many who visit the Amalfi Coast to combine it with a stay at Le Sirenuse. It’s easy to understand why because to stay at the height of sophistication in Positano is to stay at the Le Sirenuse Positano.

There’s an old school charm prominent within the luxury hotel that’s brought to life by the hotel’s staff through excellent service and attention to detail. From this Positano hotel’s elevated cliffside position, Le Sirenuse’s terrace overlooks the tumble of pastel buildings built on the mountainside and commands stunning views of the Mediterranean sea.

When we visited Positano the first time, we stopped in to Le Sirenuse to gaze wistfully from their reception terrace, imaging what it would be like to stay there. It became a dream of ours to stay at one of the world’s leading luxury hotels the next time we came to Positano. And we’re so that our dream became a reality when we got to stay at one of the best hotels on the Amalfi Coast and use this hotel in Positano as a wonderful base to explore the area.

The rooms were extremely comfortable and the view from our own private terrace was breath-taking. We could see everything – the stacked Italian buildings, the glittering sea and just below our room was the colourful maiolica dome of the church, Santa Maria Assunta.
Being on our own private terrace, we felt both compelled to go out and explore Positano and to sit back and take in the vibe. It was a pleasure to just let the hours slip away as we sat on our balcony terrace enjoying a bottle of prosecco while taking in the splendour of being in the heart of Positano.
Le Sirenuse’s beautiful restaurant is adorned with lemons and its vaulted ceiling and crisp white walls are decorated with ivy. Open throughout the day, you can either eat inside or out on their iconic poolside terrace. Breakfast is a wonderful spread of typical Italian breakfast fare with fresh baked pastries, sliced meats and cheeses, and fruit. At night you can have a candlelight dinner while gazing out upon Positano all lit up.

For anyone who has been to Positano, you know all about the sloped narrow paths and stairs. For anyone who hasn’t been to Positano – you will feel your fitness just walking around this Italian coastal town. The location of Le Sirenuse though is ideal.
Elevated enough so you have panoramic views from all parts of the Positano hotel, yet not so high where you have to struggle to walk anywhere. Le Sirenuse is situated practically in the centre of the swanky Italian coastal village close to the main Spiagglio beach and Marina Granda. A short and pleasant 5 minute walk will take you through quaint narrow cobble stone streets before you come out to the beachfront area, where you can dine, hop on a boat or sunbathe out on the beach.

Being regarded as one of the world’s best hotels in Positano, it’s understandably not budget friendly to stay at Le Sirenuse. So is it worth the money? Absolutely. The iconic hotel is worth the extra cost to stay here as this luxury hotel is a tranquil place to take in the magic of the Amalfi Coast. Positano is one of the most picturesque places in Europe and Le Sirenuse fits right in.
