Staying at the beautiful Baglioni Hotel Luna made us feel like Venetian royalty. Staying here at this 5 star hotel in Venice was one of the most luxurious hotel experiences we had while in the Italian city.
Decorated in gorgeous venetian colours and rich fabrics, Baglioni Hotel Luna has an aurora of a place from another time – one of prestige and rich with Venetian culture. Steeped in history and surrounded by ancient landmarks, The Baglioni Hotel Luna is a luxurious and romantic stay.
The hotel is also in an ideal location to explore the most popular areas of Venice. It is barely a minute’s walk from Saint Marco Square and just around the corner from some of the world’s most prestigious and popular fashion brands.
Nothing is far away in this central location, but if you wished to hire a gondola while in Venice or a motorboat, you could depart or arrive at the hotel’s own private jetty.
The San Marco-Vallaresso Vaporetto water bus stop is just a few minutes’ walk away.
For breakfast you can dine in the grand Salone Marco Polo ballroom that is used for breakfast and private events. This fabulous hall is decorated with an original 18th-century frescoed ceiling and artworks, which the General Manager of the hotel took time out of his busy day to talk to us passionately about. The lavish buffet breakfast offers a wide selection of options for you to feast on. Check though when you’re making your booking as breakfast is not automatically included in all room stays.
Our elegant Deluxe Room at the Baglioni Hotel Luna was decorated with antique furniture, a Murano glass chandelier and had a marble bathroom.
Our room view was only of the next building, but some of the hotel’s rooms overlook the Giardinetti Reali or across the water at San Giorgio Maggiore island.
The room was extremely comfortable – so comfortable that Joe even took a nap on the floor so as not to disturb anything before any pictures were taken.
The linen bedsheets were a wonderful haven from the constant rain we were subjected to during our time in Venice.
This hotel in Venice is one of the most beautiful hotels that we’ve ever had the privilege of staying in. It is perfect for any couple planning to have a lavish honeymoon stay in Venice.
